Telangana Drugs Controller General (DCA) officials have found that certain medicines in the market have misleading claims on their labels that they can treat “kidney stones” and “rheumatism”, which are in violation of the Drugs and Magic Remedies (Objectionable Advertisements) Act, 1954.The medicines were discovered by DCA officials on May 25 during special operations aimed at uncovering medicines with misleading and objectionable advertisements.
