Bridges said sleep hygiene is the amount and quality of sleep you get each day. She believes that establishing a nighttime routine, avoiding stimulants, and prioritizing your sleep environment are ways to maintain healthy sleep hygiene.
“High-quality sleep improves your concentration, improves your memory, helps you stay focused, and regulates your mood,” Bridges says. She adds, “Last but not least, improving the quality of your sleep can help you lose weight, because increasing the amount of time you sleep and the quality of your sleep will reduce your calorie intake.” I did.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), children ages 6 to 12 should get 9 to 12 hours of sleep each night, teens 13 to 18 should get 8 to 10 hours of sleep each night, and adults up to age 60 should get at least 7 hours of sleep each night. Is required.
