The McAllen Public Library invites the public to a day of health and vitality at the second annual Palm View Community Health Fair. This free event will be held at the Palm View Branch Community Center on Friday, April 19th from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and will feature a comprehensive health screening, educational resources from community partners, and engaging promotional activities. Participants will have the opportunity to undergo a free health check, including tests for blood sugar, hypertension, BMI, fatty liver, etc., which will provide valuable insight into their current health status. A knowledgeable medical professional will provide advice and answer any questions you may have about your results.
In addition to health screenings, the health fair will feature informative sessions on healthy eating and the importance of staying active at any age. Participants will be able to participate in exhilarating Zumba sessions led by Xochitl Castillo and group exercises conducted by True Fit Athletic Club, allowing individuals to embrace an active lifestyle. There will also be exciting raffle items, nutritious snacks and giveaways available during the event.
