A new study has just been published by Insider Money via Yahoo! Finance. The study highlights some of the best supplements to fight aging, look younger, and live longer. The study states that “the anti-aging and longevity market is undergoing a fascinating transformation with the growing importance of personalized approaches, cutting-edge science, and evidence-based interventions.” It adds that, “Although caution is advised, the future holds great potential to unlock the secrets of healthy aging and perhaps even push the boundaries of human lifespan.” Of course, this is just one study and one investigation, so we can’t say for sure if these supplements will give us the fountain of youth. But it’s interesting to look at what may help with anti-aging and longevity. Be sure to consult with your doctor before trying anything.
A Yahoo! Finance article lists 10 great supplements to help you live longer and look younger, via Insider Money, but here we take a look at the top 5 supplements to look out for. Of the top 5, the 5th supplement was Crocin. Insider Money explains that due to its anti-inflammatory properties, “studies have suggested anti-cancer properties, raising hopes for future therapeutic applications.” Number 4 on the list was carnosine + beta-alanine, number 3 was curcumin, and number 2 was NAC + glycine. So what is the number 1 best supplement to fight aging and live longer? According to the study, it’s resveratrol. “A natural polyphenol found in grapes, berries, and other plant sources, it has attracted a lot of attention for its potential health benefits, including anti-aging properties.” They say resveratrol has quintessential antioxidant properties that help protect cells from damage caused by oxidative stress. Additionally, another study published in the National Library of Medicine noted that “resveratrol has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, immunomodulatory, glucose and lipid regulatory, neuroprotective, and cardiovascular protective properties, which may protect against a variety of chronic diseases, including cardiovascular disease (CVD), cancer, liver disease, obesity, diabetes, Alzheimer’s disease, and Parkinson’s disease.”
