New Delhi, India – Newsvoir – 19th June 2024 – Renowned spiritual leader Morari Bapu, who has championed the Vedic Sanatana Dharam and teachings of Lord Rama and the Ramayana throughout his life, has made a heartfelt appeal to world leaders to join forces in the pursuit of peace.
Speaking at the nine-day Manas Sapta Shikhar lecture series in Jharkhand on Sunday, Morali Bapu spoke about the ongoing conflicts between Ukraine and Russia, and between Israel and Palestine. He highlighted the devastating toll these wars have taken and stressed the need for immediate resolution.
“Too many lives have been lost in these wars. It is time to end them,” declared Morali Bapu, calling for a global effort to bring about peace. “It is heartbreaking to see small children begging for food with broken tin crockery. Everything has been destroyed, their world has been shattered. Imagine the life they are living. They deserve our full sympathy.”
Morali Bapu expressed hope that the recent G7 summit in Italy would have focused on strategies to end such conflicts. “I don’t know if my voice will reach the world leaders, but it will reach Lord Mahadev (a member of the Hindu trinity). Those who believe in non-violence and peace will definitely listen to my appeal,” he added.
Morali Bapu suggested holding a Ram Katha (festival) on the Ukraine-Russia border as a symbolic gesture of peace. He quoted Vinoba Bhave, the spiritual leader of Mahatma Gandhi, who urged swordsmiths to make musical instruments instead of weapons.
