On March 2, Man Up Philly held the 16th Annual Men’s Philadelphia Conference at Cardinal O’Hara in Springfield. The largest group ever of fathers, sons, brothers and friends, some 1,500+, came together to refocus their spiritual lives.

The day began with charismatic and humorous entrepreneur and real estate CEO Yuz Mita, and included prayer, lunch, sacraments, communion, and inspirational speeches and songs. The day’s inspirational speakers included Phillies National Baseball player and Hall of Famer Mike Schmidt, best-selling author and podcast contributor Danny Bader, changed by a near-death experience, and Young Lives Initiative Coordinator Deacon Nathan Gunn and Paradisus Vice President Mark Hartfield. Day Forrest and Mark Forrest are famous Irish tenors.

Over the years, the conference has included athletes Mike Piazza, Rich Gannon, Phil Martelli, Fran Dunphy, Ron Jaworski, inspirational speaker Immaculie Ilibagiza (a Rwandan genocide survivor), and notable There were several inspirational speakers, including Hall of Famer Philadelphia. Police Commissioner Charles Ramsey.
After all, it is safe to say that this spirituality conference rejuvenated and inspired these people, their faith and striving towards something good was on their minds.
