Episode Notes
Youth mental health is in crisis.
Just last year, US Surgeon General Vivek Murthy issued recommendations linking youth social media use to negative mental health outcomes.
But Murthy and other public health leaders, including New York City Health Commissioner Ashwin Vasan, are fighting back. Vasan has led an attack on social media platforms like Meta, TikTok, Snapchat and YouTube through lawsuits and legislation.
This week’s episode of Well, Now holds social media companies accountable for the youth mental health crisis.
