Skincare fans go wild for 101-year-old woman who looks decades younger

Skincare fans are shocked that the 101-year-old looks decades younger.

Although effective, Sun warned that anti-aging skin care routines can be quite expensive.

Reddit user KeepGettingTexts went viral after posting this beauty routine.

“Today is my grandmother’s 101st birthday and she wanted to show off a different dress for this birthday,” he wrote.

His grandmother wore a colorful red dress sprinkled with yellow, blue, green and orange flowers.

While grandmas were very conscious of their figure, others were more interested in developing the skin care routine of a younger woman.

“She’s absolutely beautiful and doesn’t look over 80!” said one stunned viewer.

“Tell her she looks so lovely and I want to share her skincare routine,” another user commented.

But Sun warned people to be careful what they wish for.

“I don’t think I should be advertising my mom’s routine. What I didn’t realise last year was that when I asked my mum for her routine, I posted it without even checking the price,” he said.

“These are all professional products, which makes sense when selling a service like a facial, but doesn’t mean much to the average non-Kardashian consumer.”

“I still have the item in the mail from last year, but I want to be careful as the item is about $800 in price.”

After doing a bit of research, a curious Reddit user shared the highly coveted routine.

“I know there are so many of you amazing people out there who would like to have Grandma’s skincare routine so I asked my grandma’s personal aesthetician (my mom, lol) and got this exact text back,” her grandson had written the previous year.

He revealed that his grandmother exclusively used Osmosis skin care products.

To wash her face, she reached for the brand’s $48 Lift Away Cleansing Balm.

Next, she chooses from three Osmosis serums: Retinal, Repair C, or Growth Factor Serum, depending on the time of day and need.

Finally, my grandmother made sure to moisturize with Osmosis Restorative Face and Neck Cream .

His grandma opted for the Facial Infusion facial treatment for added benefits.

One commenter did the math and found that his grandson was keeping his promise.

“A quick estimate would be around $650 to $700, including the facial,” he said.

Another viewer added that while the routine is certainly pricey, there are likely to be equally effective and affordable alternatives available.

“[I’m a] “Skin care nerds, this is a pretty easy routine to replicate using more affordable products,” he said.

“Ultimately, the key here is to focus on hydrating ingredients in your cleanser and moisturizer, retinol (or better yet, prescription tretinoin, which is much cheaper than over-the-counter retinol), and adequate vitamin C.

“Cheaper and harder to find would be stem cell serums… but stem cells/growth factors haven’t necessarily been proven to be most effective when applied topically.

“Maybe we could swap it for a peptide serum instead!”
