BLOOM (TAMPA) – Ivy Childers, co-founder CEO of Southbound Tequila, joined Gail Guild, host of the global health and wellness show Bloom, to share mocktail recipes. Yes, you can always make tequila!
“As a recipe developer, I love supporting home entertainers with approachable and simple cocktails, but just as important is my ability to put together thoughtful, unexpected, and elevated mocktails. Many of my friends Intimidated by the idea of handling a shaker, a surprising number of people don’t know the importance of the shaker step. Cocktails or Mocktails – Shakes are a must. Whatever your reason for drinking or serving a mocktail, carefully selected… I think step one is to have the same level of presentation as a beautiful cocktail. When you hold a beautiful drink in your hands, you feel like you’re participating in society in that moment. The second thing to keep in mind is to avoid adding extra syrup or sugar in place of alcohol. Most people want a beautiful balance in mocktails, just as they do in cocktails. Adding other surprising ingredients to take center stage is a great way to enhance the flavor. For me, club soda is overrated. Garnishes and beautiful glassware are also a must. It’s all about sight, smell, and the end result. It’s a matter of taste,” Childers said.
