National Institute of Naturopathy gears up to celebrate International Day of Yoga in 2024

National Institute of Naturopathy (NIN), Pune will celebrate International Day of Yoga (IDY) on 21st June 2024. This year marks an important milestone as it marks the 10th edition of IDY. This year’s theme, “Yoga for Self and Society”, aims to highlight the profound impact yoga has on physical, mental and spiritual health.
The benefits of yoga are not just limited to the individual. Yoga encourages a sense of community and collective well-being. Through practices such as group sessions and community yoga programs, yoga fosters social connections and mutual support. Moreover, yoga is inclusive and adaptive, allowing people of all ages and fitness levels to participate.
National Naturopathy Institute under Ministry of Ayush, Government of India is a pioneering institute in promoting natural and holistic health practices. For decades, the Institute has been consistently organizing impactful events promoting Yoga for holistic health, wellbeing and sustainable living. In the run up to International Yoga Day, NIN organized demonstrations of IDY Protocol to engage and educate the public about the importance of Yoga on the occasion of IDY 2024. The live yoga demonstrations showcasing Yoga techniques and their application in everyday life following the Common Yoga Protocol designed to be easily performed by anyone will be conducted at the following locations of NIN:
1. “Bapu Bhavan'”, Matoshree Ramabai Ambedkar road, Pune – 411001
2. Nisarg Gram, Kondwabadurg, Yewalewadi, Pune – 411048
3. Nisarg Sadhana Kendra, Ambe Goan, Gohe Bk., Pune- 410509
Moreover, NIN has tie-ups with many organisations such as the Central Telecommunications Authority, Regional Passport Office, Central Railways, Pune Civil Court and many schools and colleges in and around Pune.
Following the IDY 2024 message, Professor K. Satya Lakhsmi, Director, National Institute of Naturopathy, will deliver a session at a program organized by Yogastha, IIT Bombay, at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay on June 20, 2024.
Prof. K. Satyalakshmi, Director, National Institute of Naturopathy, emphasised, “Yoga is a powerful tool to enhance overall health and well-being. At National Institute of Naturopathy, we are committed to spreading awareness about the benefits of yoga and naturopathy.”
NIN hopes that this important initiative will receive widespread media coverage, spreading the message of yoga’s transformative power to a wider audience.
