NEW DELHI: Yoga guru Baba Ramdev’s Patanjali Ayurveda on Tuesday said it had stopped selling 14 products after the state of Uttarakhand suspended its manufacturing licence with immediate effect. The company told the Supreme Court it had directed its 5,606 franchisees to remove the products.
Patanjali told the Supreme Court that media platforms have been directed to remove advertisements of these 14 products in all formats.
A bench comprising Justices Hima Kohli and Sandeep Mehta will hear the matter on July 30.
In an affidavit, Uttarakhand state licensing authorities said the cancellation order was due to “repeated violations” of the Drugs and Magic Remedies (Objectionable Advertisements) Act, 1954. They suspended the manufacturing licences of 14 products made by Baba Ramdev’s Patanjali Ayurved and Divya Pharmacy with immediate effect from April 30.
The list of products whose licenses have been revoked is as follows:
