Punxsutawney — Scott Anthony, world champion pizza maker and owner of Punxy Pizza, has donated a copy of “The Pursuit of Pizza” to the Punxsutawney Memorial Library.
The Pursuit of Pizza is a collection of nearly 50 recipes from 40 world pizza champions. The recipes are available to the public for the first time and are broken down into easy and achievable steps.
The book also includes insight into the chef’s own passion for cooking, his community, and why he chooses to publish his recipes.
The book also features QR codes linked to many of the recipes and offers how-to videos on a variety of topics, including how to stretch a pizza and how to properly cut a Roman-style pizza with scissors.
According to Anthony, all the world pizza champions got together and decided to write a cookbook that would feature everyone’s entries. He said they met in Tulsa, Oklahoma, last January and each took turns making pizza and taking photos and videos. He said the book took a year to complete.
“The Pursuit of Pizza” is available for purchase on Amazon for $59.99, with a portion of the proceeds going to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Anthony said she has been working with Make-A-Wish for the past two years and has raised about $200,000 so far. He said the final chapter of the book details the work at Make-A-Wish.
