Sept. 21—An Atkinson woman was arrested Tuesday on charges of offering services as a naturopathic doctor without a license, the Attorney General’s Office announced.
Shanna M. Pinet, 44, of Atkinson, is charged with three counts of operating a naturopathic medicine without a license and two counts of violating the New Hampshire Consumer Protection Act, authorities said. said the people.
The charges relate to allegations that Pinet, who authorities said does not have a professional license in New Hampshire, provided customer service as a naturopathic doctor under the name “Dr. Fabianna Marie.”
She is scheduled to be arraigned Oct. 20 in Rockingham County Superior Court.
Class A misdemeanors are punishable by up to 12 months in prison and a fine of up to $2,000.
Last January, a court ordered Ms. Pinet and her husband to pay $60,000 in civil penalties and restitution for operating an organization masquerading as a breast cancer charity.
Rockingham County Superior Court has ruled that an organization called the Fab Family Fund and its representatives, Shanna Pinet and David Pinet, violated laws governing charities.
In a news release from the state attorney general’s office, prosecutors say the money raised in the fund will “educate, promote, and provide all-expenses paid travel for comfort and solace to breast cancer patients and their families.” He said there was no evidence it was used for that mission. healing. “

The Fab Family Foundation has been disbanded, the Pinetzes have been ordered to no longer lead any philanthropic efforts in New Hampshire, and are barred from working with breast cancer charities or nonprofits for the next 10 years.
