COLDWATER — A new business is coming to Coldwater to provide another option for local health care.
Naturopathic doctor Beth Flowers Mapes has opened Coldwater Alternative Medicine at 893 E. Chicago St., Suite G in the Prompt Care Express Plaza.
Mapes offers a variety of services, including tuning fork massage with essential oils, raindrop therapy, naturopathic needle-free acupuncture, acupuncture, Reiki and nutritional counseling, as well as muscle testing and homeopathic remedies for individuals with diabetes, high blood pressure, digestive issues, pain management and other physical issues.
Mapes is a graduate of Trinity College of Natural Health in Warsaw, Indiana, and has been practicing naturopathic medicine in Reading and Coldwater for 22 years.
She applies her skills in a “real-life” and practical way to the professional training she received from Naturopathic Doctor Dr. Delores Spence, a well-known teacher and healer in the tri-state area.
“I look forward to offering a sense of calm and balance that complements traditional medicine while helping my clients achieve holistic wellness,” Mapes said.
Mapes is also interested in expanding the business by bringing on two more masseuses and other natural therapies.
The grand opening is scheduled for October 11th.
In addition to the services offered, Mapes also stocks Now Nature Sunshine supplements, Frontier Bulk Organic Spices, flower essences, and essential oils from Young Living and Secrets of Eden.
Opening hours are 9am to 6pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and 9am to 4pm Tuesday and Thursday.
