ROCKLAND — Candida Ferraiolo Schwartz, ND, a board-certified naturopathic physician, will be speaking at an open house Friday night from 4 to 8 p.m. at her new office and office located at 488C Main Street in downtown Rockland. Officially launches the art space “Vital Healing”. , during Rockland’s First Friday Art Walk.
“This new location will allow us to integrate all aspects of patient care in a beautiful and convenient environment,” said Dr. Schwartz. “And we are excited to provide community space that will be part of the exciting revitalization of North Main Street in Rockland.”
A native of Camden, Dr. Schwartz graduated in 2011 from the National College of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon, the first accredited naturopathic medical school in the United States. She also graduated from the University of Maine at Orono in 1995. She has a bachelor’s degree in psychology. Before studying medicine, she attended culinary school and became a chef, eventually specializing in pastry. She often incorporates her knowledge of nutrition and culinary arts into her own practice.
Dr. Schwartz believes her diverse background and interests help her treat patients in a more holistic manner.
“Our bodies have an innate desire to heal, and our cells desire healthy rejuvenation,” Dr. Schwartz said in a news release. “Finding the root of imbalances and illnesses in body, mind and spirit is essential to restoring harmony and health to patients,” she said.
In addition to his naturopathy skills, Dr. Schwartz is also a craniosacral therapist and intuitive healer. She studied intuitive healing with Pastor Liliana Barzola in Portland, Oregon. Dr. Schwartz offers her readings to patients who want to explore deeper aspects of themselves.
