Natalie’s Orchid Island Juice Company is pleased to announce the appointment of Bethany Baker as the authentic juice company’s new Director of Wellness. This strategic hire underscores Natalie’s prioritization of employee wellness, particularly her focus on building a healthy relationship with technology in the workplace. The company’s pioneering efforts were recently recognized with Digitally Balanced Workplace certification from the Digital Wellness Institute and Fast Company.
Natalie’s, under the leadership of Founder and CEO Mary-Grace Sexton, has been promoting digital wellbeing in the workplace for many years. A passionate advocate of balanced digital engagement, Sexton previously founded a non-profit aimed at providing productive off-grid experiences for young people. Her passion for promoting a healthy relationship with technology extends outside the office after observing the impact digital erosion is having on the lives of those around her.
“We believe a balanced approach to technology is critical to the overall wellbeing of our team,” said Mary Grace Sexton, who founded Natalie’s more than 30 years ago. “Bethany Baker’s appointment as Wellness Director marks a major step forward in our mission to create a healthier workplace culture in this digital age.”
Baker brings a unique and diverse background to Natalie’s. With experience in the nonprofit world and marketing, she is committed to connecting people and creating spaces for meaningful engagement. Bethany holds a Master’s in Strategic Leadership and a Digital Wellness Certification. Her multifaceted expertise aligns perfectly with our vision of a holistic wellness program.
“I am thrilled to join Natalie’s Juice Company and help realize MaryGrace Sexton’s inspiring vision,” said Baker. “I look forward to supporting our team to achieve balanced, fulfilling lives both at and outside of work.”
Key features of Natalie’s digital wellness program include:
- Headspace Annual Subscription: Every team member will be provided with an annual subscription to Headspace, a popular meditation and mindfulness app. The initiative encourages employees to prioritize their mental wellbeing, reduce stress and improve focus through guided meditation sessions.
- Onsite Group Fitness Training: Starting in June, Natalie’s will be offering group fitness training sessions in-house twice a week. Whether employees’ goals are strength, flexibility or overall health, the sessions led by professional trainers will help them improve their health.
- Quarterly Individual Check-Ins: Baker conducts one-on-one check-ins with employees quarterly to discuss workload, digital overload, stress levels, and overall well-being. These check-ins provide a dedicated space for employees to share feedback, ask questions, and receive personalized support.
Natalie’s is committed to continuing its mission of promoting digital wellness and serving as a role model for organizations looking to create a healthier workplace culture. The company’s efforts reflect a proactive approach to employee wellness, enabling team members to grow both professionally and personally.
