Shared by BEAUTY fans I regret not having started this practice when I was younger to prevent wrinkles.
She says that signs of ageing rarely start on the face, and if you follow her skin care advice, your friends will be jealous of your youthful appearance even when you’re in your 70s.
Reddit user Savorie offered some anti-aging tips for people in their 20s.
In her post, the 46-year-old shared the beauty products that people should start incorporating into their routine ASAP.
She said people around the age of 27 are “very lucky” because they can start using sunscreen early, which is “the best anti-ageing cream”.
“Use it on your face as well as your neck and chest,” she recommended.
“The chest and neck. That’s so true,” agreed another Reddit user.
Savorie knows firsthand what can happen when you don’t prioritize applying SPF to all bare skin.
“I don’t have any wrinkles on my face, but my breasts have severe sun damage from wearing V-necks all through my 20s and living in Florida,” she admitted.
She added that no one warned her to apply sunscreen to her chest and neck even when she wasn’t at the beach.

“And for bonus points, apply it regularly to the backs of your hands so when you’re 70 your hands will be the envy of all your female friends,” she said.
“And your hands! I’m 31 and I wish I’d put sunscreen on my hands as well as my face!” advised another Reddit user.
If you’re in your late 20s, the Reddit user says, you probably don’t have “very few visible signs of aging.”
“You probably don’t need a lot of extra care, just the basics to maintain the great skin and structure you already have,” she says.
But if you have any specific skin concerns, like redness, acne or dark circles, it’s okay to target them, as managing them will enhance your anti-ageing strategy, she says.
To avoid regret, Savory said the best weapons against the signs of aging are prevention and knowledge.
She said it’s important to know which areas of the skin show age first.
It can also affect the neck, chest, hands, and elbows, but “it rarely starts on the face.”
“Take good care of these areas by applying sunscreen, moisturizer and lotion every day,” she added.
When it comes to facial care, she recommends opting for gels, serums and lightweight lotions instead of heavy creams and oils, unless your skin is extremely dry and flaky.
She also says there are two things you “need to understand” before starting a skincare routine.
First, the areas of the face where the skin is the thinnest are the eye sockets and lips.
Also, pay attention to whether you have sensitive skin as those with sensitive skin have special requirements in terms of ingredients they can tolerate.
Above all, she said, it’s important to pay attention to your face over the years, look for the first places that start to show a little sagging, and “give them a little more love there.”
But she warned against obsessing about it.

“You don’t want your life to be dominated by skin care and image issues!” she added.
For more targeted advice, Savory says there’s “nothing wrong” with consulting a dermatologist for “personalised advice” and to help develop a basic treatment regimen that’s right for your skin type.
Anti-Aging Tips and “Superstar” Products
Dr Anatalia Moore is a general practitioner and dermatologist with over 11 years of clinical experience.
She told the US Sun that her goal is to give patients the knowledge they need to take control of their skin conditions.
She said the basic fundamentals of a beauty routine remain the same at any age, including using an effective cleanser, moisturizer and sunscreen.
“Moisturizers are my favorite over products that contain active ingredients,” she says.
“Finding a balancing moisturizer that provides proper hydration and replenishes and locks in natural oils will literally stabilize your skin.
“This in itself can provide immediate relief from fine lines and skin texture, which are often exacerbated by dehydration.”
“It also allows the skin to function as it should.
“This can result in faster healing, fewer wrinkles and fine lines, fewer dermatitis and rosacea flare-ups, and shorter-lasting, less severe breakouts.”
