This recall follows a similar issue caused by temperature control.
Variety discount store Family Dollar recently began recalling products ranging from over-the-counter medications to toothpaste sold at regional chains in nearly 20 states.
The company first made the announcement on Oct. 5, and the announcement was announced Oct. 10 by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, which told Family Dollar shoppers that they would be voluntarily discharging “over-the-counter drugs and medical devices that were stored outdoors.” Warned about recall. From June 1, 2023 to September 21, 2023, some Family Dollar stores were shipped with incorrect temperature requirements on the label.
The items to be recalled include a wide range of items, including cold medicines, painkillers, mouthwashes, moisturizers, and vitamins. The affected products were sold in 23 states from June 1, 2023 to October 4, 2023.
“To date, Family Dollar has not received any consumer complaints or reports of illness related to this voluntary recall,” the company’s statement said. “This recall is being carried out with the utmost care.”
Family Dollar did not immediately respond to ABC News’ request for comment.

“Family Dollar has notified affected stores to immediately check their inventory, isolate and stop selling the affected items,” the company’s statement continued.
Customers who purchased recalled products can return them to the place of purchase without a receipt for a refund.
A complete list of recalled items and affected states can be found on the FDA’s website.
Family Dollar experienced a similar problem earlier this spring, voluntarily recalling seven Advil products that were also stored at the wrong temperature.
