According to one skincare fan, you don’t have to spend a ton of money on high-quality skincare, and sometimes even fake products can be just as good as the real thing.
One woman was stunned when a $27 vitamin C serum far outperformed her favorite luxury product.
Reddit user Paddingtonbear39 shared his anti-aging beauty discovery in a post.
She explained that she was a big fan of SkinCeuticals’ $182 CE Ferulic serum with 15% L-ascorbic acid.
“Hey guys, I’ve been a fan of SkinCeuticals Vitamin C for four years now,” she said.
But after switching to Timeless’ $27 20% Vitamin C + E Ferulic Acid Serum, she gave up on the pricey purchase.
“After considering the price difference, I ultimately decided to switch. It’s amazing,” she said.
“I don’t know how well it will work for you, but Timeless far surpasses Skinceuticals!”
Considering the $155 price difference, she couldn’t believe the difference in results.
“Am I crazy? This product is working miracles in brightening my skin and improving the texture,” she said.

“For reference, I have very sensitive and acne prone skin (it’s funny how my skin is like this at 31).
“It’s completely non-irritating, absorbs quickly into the skin, brightens almost instantly, leaves no weird sticky feeling, and doesn’t pill. I’m so happy!”
“I thought SkinCeuticals was enough, but since using Timeless my skin looks more radiant,” she added.
“Maybe it just stopped working?”
Skin care fans over 30 echoed her rave reviews for the serum.
One woman explained that it was the most important product in her routine.
“I’ve been using Timeless for years, and even when I feel drained from skincare, I make sure to put it on,” she said.
“I get compliments on my skin all the time. I love it.”
“I switched from SkinCeuticals CEF (about 2 years) to Timeless Vit C and Ferulic and saw an improvement. Now I use Timeless exclusively,” said another commenter.
The original poster agreed that they immediately noticed a difference in the formulation and quality of the two products.
“You can clearly see the difference in color and viscosity,” she replied.
“Whatever it is, I’m so happy!”
