Canada-based naturopathic doctor Janine Bowling went viral on TikTok after sharing common poop shapes and what they mean for your health.

Bow said that the big brown log and the S-shaped dark weight are both healthy poop
“If it’s an S-shaped dark sinker, it’s also healthy poop,” she continued.
Bowling then grabbed a small, round ball of poop and said small balls or pellets were a sign of “severe constipation.”
“If you see light colored poop floating around, it could be a sign that there is something wrong with your liver or gallbladder that needs to be addressed,” she added.
As a naturopathic doctor, Bowling focuses on addressing the root cause of health problems, not just treating the symptoms.
For those who suffer from constipation, she recommended trying ileocecal valve massage to “get things moving.”
In a previous video, she explained that the ileocecal valve is where the small and large intestines connect.
Dr. Bowling says the valve may be located between the highest point of the right hip bone and the belly button.
She demonstrated how to use her fingers to massage small circles in the area and pointed out that it’s normal to feel a “rumbling” sensation.

Experts added that small balls or pellets could be a sign of “severe constipation” and that floating, light-colored poop could indicate problems with the liver or gallbladder.
Next, the expert performed a “C” shaped massage toward her belly button before moving his hand to the left side of her stomach, an inch below her navel. She pushed from left to right towards her ileocecal valve.
The last step was to massage from the valve towards the right shoulder. She performed each movement 10 times.
Bowling’s next tip was to increase the amount of fiber in your diet.
“Adults should consume at least 25 to 30 grams of fiber each day,” she noted.
She concluded that you should also consider taking turmeric supplements, especially if you have light-colored floating poop.
Health gurus have said that curcumin, the active compound found in turmeric, has the following benefits: Helps liver and gallbladder function.
