Exciting expansion of complementary therapy services at Manor House Hub
An extension of Michelle Thursby’s Wellness Mission complementary therapy centre will open in February 2019. “We are delighted to welcome long-standing Ilkley complementary therapists Jenny Howarth and Nicky Whitehead to Cottage 2 at the Manor House, who will be bringing their practice from South Hawksworth Street to this new location,” said Sarah Thomas, chair of Manor House Trust. Jenny and Nicky will run Ilkley Complementary Therapies and Yorkshire Flower Essences from the lovely cottage space next door to the Manor House.
Jenny Howarth and Nicky Whitehead from Ilkley Complementary Therapies have worked closely with Michelle on the evolution of the therapy practice and together they will ensure the new practice combines the foundations that Michelle has built with her own business, Ilkley Complementary Therapies, which she has run in the centre of Ilkley for 17 years.
The therapies on offer will remain the same as before – homeopathy, Bowen technique, acupressure, hypnotherapy, several types of massage including pregnancy and baby massage, herbal therapies, nutrition and reflexology. With more therapists set to join the new Ilkley Complementary Therapies, the therapies on offer will also increase. Michelle Thersby herself will also continue to offer holistic physiotherapy sessions at the cottage.
For the past three years Jenny and Nicky have also been developing Yorkshire Flower Essences, which include flower essences such as Bailey and Bach Flower Essences, which have been made in Ilkley for over 50 years. They also produce Ilkley Moor Flower Essences, named after Verbeia, the Roman Celtic Goddess of Wharfedale, whose Roman altar stone bearing her name is now housed in Manor House, so it is only fitting that Verbeia Flower Essences and related body care products are made close to Ilkley.
Ilkley Complementary Therapies will be opening from Monday 4th February in a cottage at 2 Castle Hill, directly opposite Manor House.
