In an interview with Times Entertainment, Devina Bonnerjee candidly shared her diet plan and consistent workout regimen and showcased her passion for fitness. Her transformation offers valuable insight into the effective exercise routine and nutritional choices that helped her achieve her goals.
Devina continued to work out even during her pregnancy with Divisha and managed to maintain her weight.
How did Devina recover after giving birth?
Devina gave birth via Caesarean section and faced a major physical setback after the birth as doctors advised her to refrain from exercise for three months, a period that was crucial for her recovery. Nevertheless, Devina stressed on the importance of staying active and not being sedentary.
Just three days after giving birth, she attended the event despite feeling bloated and full of fluid. The experience motivated her to continue working, which in turn made her happier and more optimistic about her future possibilities.

Devina emphasizes eating a balanced and nutritious diet
Devina further stated that understanding what to eat and what to avoid is key to maintaining a healthy diet. Being conscious of your food choices and their impact on your health is essential.
The Ramayan actress spoke about eliminating junk food, which is widely known to have adverse health effects, and said it can greatly simplify our journey towards better health. Instead, we should focus on incorporating nutritious options in our diet.
“For example, fruits are rich in vitamins, minerals and antioxidants that support overall health. Including a variety of fruits in your diet can help you get essential nutrients and boost your immunity,” Devina further adds.
Devina Bonesi’s Exercises: Aerial Yoga, Pilates, Cardio and More
In an interview with Times Entertainment, Devina said she began her fitness journey with basic movements like simple freehand exercises and crawling on the floor to improve her mobility. After six months, feeling healed from within, she started doing cardiovascular exercises to regain her stamina.
She focused on sprinting at full strength for three months. Then she started Pilates, which uses body weight to tone muscles without the risk of injury. Within three to four months, Pilates had significantly strengthened her core.
Inspired by some of the biggest names in the fitness world, Devina tried aerial yoga, which was challenging and required core strength, but was rewarding and helped her improve her fitness. As a new mom, incorporating these workouts required a lot of adjustments, but it was worth it.

Devina was consistent from start to finish.
Devina often found it difficult to persist due to sleepless nights at home and the countless thoughts racing through her mind. After 3-4 months of regular training, she began to lose motivation.
Looking for a new challenge, she decided to try something different, believing that novelty would give her fresh energy and motivation. For three to four months, she worked meticulously and regularly on aerial yoga.
Soon she noticed a huge change happening in her body, she pushed herself past her limits and started losing weight rapidly. During her aerial yoga journey, her weight loss progress was significantly faster.
From 75kg to 65kg
Devina started her weight loss from weighing 75 kg and now weighs around 65 kg, with her target being 55 kg. However, her focus is more on losing size than weight. “After giving birth to Divisha, I initially bought jeans in size 44. Over time, I progressed to size 42, size 40 and now I fit in a perfect medium – size 38,” says Devina. She is ecstatic about her size loss and overall progress.

How challenging has this been for Devina?
Devina, a mother of two beautiful daughters, talks about her journey to getting her pre-pregnancy body back: She estimates she’s 50-75% back to her original shape, but she’s not 100% back and is about 25% away from reaching her goal.
However, she has already seen great results. Devina acknowledges that obstacles will come up, but overcoming them and continuing on with the journey is proof that she is on the right path.
