CONEXPO-CON/AGG has launched an online mental health resource for the construction industry. We provide resources, personal stories, and advice for employers and workers.
Content includes the CONEXPO-CON/AGG podcast where Dennis Cashman shares his battle with addiction and recovery journey; Another episode featuring Ryan Priestley tackles managing stress in construction and how to maintain work-life balance in an industry where it’s not always easy to sit down and evaluate accomplishments.
Encouraging Men to Talk About Mental Health looks at why research shows men are four times more likely to die by suicide than women. We will also explore pathways to destigmatizing mental health and how to encourage men and women to talk about these issues.
Other resources and articles include topics such as dealing with stress, tips for supporting your employees, and improving mental health.
With May being Mental Health Awareness Month, this new initiative focuses on building supportive communities. CONEXPO-CON/AGG aims to raise awareness of prevalent mental health issues in the construction industry and to foster an environment where seeking help and discussing mental health is normalized and encouraged.
