Tainan, Taiwan — Portuguese sailors once called the island they discovered, now called Taiwan, “Ilha Formosa” (beautiful island) in Portuguese.
Located directly above the Philippines, this country lives up to its name by being beautiful in all seasons, especially in the spring when the flowers bloom.
The ancient capital of Tainan has a famous road known for its fiery kapok trees, and when the flowers are in full bloom, a canopy of bright red-orange flowers spreads out from the neatly lined branches of the trees along the road.
It’s no wonder that locals and tourists alike stop by Tainan’s Baihe district just to take photos with the trees in the background.
Definitely, it could be the setting for a romance series or movie like the Korean drama “Endless Love.”
Even in Tainan, tour buses come and go at Irwin Therapy Garden.
In this garden, roses of various colors are neatly planted in three types of gardens, from pure white, pretty yellow, and pretty pink to purple.
The French-style rose garden features symmetrical arrangements of roses with stonework. Those who want to meditate or do aromatherapy can spend a minute or two in the Chakra Rose Garden.
The Classical Rose Garden has roses and benches, and you can also enjoy the scenery of trains passing by.
