Barrow Spa Therapy Relaxation and Wellbeing on Levens Terrace has won an award as part of the 2024 Global Health and Pharma (GHP) Mental Health Awards.
The awards program focuses on and recognizes companies and individuals working in the mental health field. Other awards include Mental Health Psychologist of the Year and Most Supportive Counseling Service.
The business is owned by Nathaniel Welham and Wendy Richardson, who opened the spa in December 2019.
Commenting on winning this title, Nathaniel said: “I was very happy because I was very happy with the win. It’s my first time to receive an award from this company.
“It is good that our customers have given us good feedback and we have been nominated. This is a great result for us.
“Me and Wendy just finished another degree in massage, which is better for our skill sets.”
This is not the first time a spa business has won an award. In 2023, we were recognized as a highly recommended business by Fresha, a beauty and wellness salon software.
In 2022, we were named the winner of the prestigious North West England Specialist Spa of the Year 2022.
The owner explained that this business is very popular with locals as well as tourists visiting the town.
He said: “We have a lot of people from outside the area who come and book treatments when they come to Barrow. We also have some regular customers who live in Barrow.”
Barrow Spa Therapy Relaxation and Wellbeing offers a variety of treatments, from massages to pedicures, holistic therapies and Reiki.
