Singapore-based venture capital firm Jungle Ventures led a $27 million Series C funding round for Ayurveda Experience (TAE), a direct-to-consumer brand focused on Ayurvedic products.
This new investment also saw participation from SIDBI Ventures, Anicut Capital, and Sharp Ventures (Mariwala Family Office), taking TAE’s total funding to over $41 million (Rs. 342 million). The previous round had backing from investors including Fireside Ventures and Riverwalk Holdings.
The company plans to use the new funding to further deepen its brand presence and recognition in existing markets. The funding will also help the company strengthen customer engagement on its platform, invest in product research and development (R&D), and expand new distribution channels.
Rishabh Chopra, Founder and CEO of TAE, said: “These funds will further strengthen the group’s R&D, supply chain and manufacturing strengths, as well as explore and expand new distribution channels. “It will be invested for the purpose of this,” he said.
Founded by Chopra in 2010, TAE is the largest direct-to-consumer (D2C) Ayurvedic content and products company in North America, Europe, Canada, Australia, and India. The company owns his four beauty and health product lines – iYURA, Ajara, A Modernica Naturalis and Ayuttva, which it manufactures, sells and distributes on its own platform. We also offer a wide range of Ayurvedic consulting, content, webinars and courses.
The company is actively selling its products in 20 countries including India. Over 97% of his customers purchase products directly from the app or website. Over the past decade, TAE has strategically optimized product-market fit, cultural nuances, supply chains and logistics, while retaining the majority of its operations in India, and expanding digitally in global markets. I’ve been doing it. The company attributes its growth to expanding its reach through new products and markets, as well as optimizing D2C distribution formats.
“As India continues to assert itself on the global stage, there is a unique opportunity for our entrepreneurs to build global brands with a distinctly Indian flavor,” said Arpit Beri, Partner, Jungle Ventures. Stated.
