A new massage parlor that just opened in the Boston area allows guests to curate their own experience, allowing them to choose their own aromatherapy, music, and more at no additional charge.
Squeeze, the fast-growing massage chain from the founders of hair care products company Driver, opened its first Massachusetts location on Friday, May 17, on Assembly Row in Somerville.
The new 3,645-square-foot space features 11 treatment rooms, a bright lobby, and a waiting area where guests can choose from four scents for aromatherapy during their session.
Squeeze specializes in personalized massages that include pressure, lighting, focus areas, lotions/oils, and more. Each massage includes deep tissue, heat therapy, percussion therapy, and aromatherapy.
Reservations can be made through the Squeeze app or online. During the booking process, customers can choose their pressure level, the area they want the massage therapist to focus on, and provide other details to customize their experience.
Massages last 50 or 80 minutes and prices vary depending on membership or one-time booking. Medium membership includes 50 minutes of massage each month and costs $95 per month.
The main membership costs $125 per month and includes an 80-minute massage each month. Non-member rates include $129 for a 50-minute massage and $159 for an 80-minute massage.
Squeeze is located at 345 Revolution Drive in Somerville. The massage chain plans to open a store in Watertown’s Arsenal Yards later this year. One of the first 100 people to register online will receive a free 50-minute massage at our Watertown location.
