Alternative therapies have been around for over 100 years, and their importance is even more evident today. The science of non-medicated healing is still progressing at a slow pace, with strips of headache medicine kept in bags and desks at work. You can reach a wider audience. At times like these, alternative healing is a practice that helps many people achieve a stable physical and mental state.

Dr. Manju Mehra, former president of the Indian Society of Clinical Psychology and clinical psychologist at AIIMS, says, “Alternative therapies like acupressure and Reiki have special techniques that can help treat patients.”

Commenting on the importance of alternative therapies, Dr. Ripan Sippy, a clinical psychologist at BLK Super Specialty Hospital, said: patient’s heart. ” Alternative therapy helps a person to self-reflect, which is necessary in the process of treatment.

Practitioners in this specialty feel that alternative healing taps into the patient’s subconscious mind, allowing them to feel at ease with treatments that are not possible with the use of heavy machinery or drugs. For example, art therapy can help heal through the use of color. Art therapist Niladri Paul says, “Color activates our organs and glands, and these may also be present in our food. It helps rejuvenate our minds and souls,” he adds.

Dr. Mehta, on the other hand, feels that all these forms have specific uses. “Reiki is aimed at holistic healing, while acupressure treats specific ailments. Healing techniques such as music therapy and art therapy can help with ventilation.” However, treatments vary depending on the individual and symptoms. it’s different. Please consult your doctor before choosing any of the following:

acupuncture: A technique in which the practitioner stimulates specific pressure points on the body. This is primarily done by inserting a thin needle into the skin. It is one of the methods used in traditional Chinese medicine.Shiatsu: It is an ancient healing technique that uses your fingers to gradually press key points to stimulate the body’s natural self-healing abilities. Another alternative healing process discovered from Chinese medicine.Crystal healing: Different crystals have different energies and properties. This can affect mental, physical, spiritual and emotional aspects of ourselves.Aromatherapy: The practice of using natural oils extracted from flowers, bark, sterns, leaves, or other parts of plants to enhance psychological and physical health. These oils are often absorbed into the skin and travel through the bloodstream.Reiki: Japanese techniques to reduce stress, relax and promote healing. It is often described as a palm healing process in which the practitioner places their hands over the patient’s body to facilitate the healing process.music therapy: Patients are asked to listen to a range of CDs modified for their condition or disease. The sounds are adjusted based on the type of activity expected for the patient.art therapy: Structured exercises in which participants work with color and art supplies. Customized consumables are also available. This is strongly aimed at working on the subconscious mind.

Salt therapy: This form requires breathing salty air for therapeutic reasons. This treatment, common in Europe, eliminates the root cause of all inflammatory respiratory diseases. For this process, the patient is forced to sit in a regulated salt chamber.
