La Grande — Welcome to “Your Life Matters,” a special project from Elkhorn Media Group, where we embark on a journey of compassion, understanding and hope. In this space, we aim to shed light on a topic that often remains in the shadows: suicide awareness. Here, we believe that through the power of conversation, we can break down the stigma surrounding mental health and create a community of support for those who need it most.
Each month, we share personal stories of resilience, expert insights, and practical strategies for navigating the complexities of mental health. Our goal is to foster empathy, dispel myths, and offer a ray of hope to those suffering.
Garrett Christensen recently spoke with two representatives from the Center for Human Development, Daisy Duren, Director of Clinical Operations, and Chris Evans, Director of Community Relations and Marketing, this week to discuss the mental health challenges facing youth in Union County and the resources CHD provides to area children and parents.
You can listen to the full interview by clicking the audio link below.
