Yoga, Meditation, Empowerment – Soul Harmony Retreat will be held at Wilton Manors on July 20th
With all the challenges in life, from paying bills to work stress, it’s easy to forget about what’s most important: yourself. But in fact, during busy times like these, it’s even more important to focus on self-care.
Pastor Skip Jennings will host a Soul Harmony Retreat at Wilton Manors on Saturday, July 20th from 10am-3pm.
The retreat is a unique opportunity to reconnect with yourself and heal from the inside out through yoga, meditation and empowerment workshops. “It’s about relaxing away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and the daily grind,” Jennings explains. “We intend for people to come away with renewed energy, vitality and spirit. They’re coming to reconnect with themselves.”
Gentle yoga is scheduled because “bodies want to move,” Jennings said. Meditation comes next because spirit wants to be known and “we want to connect with our spirit,” he said. Then an empowerment session will activate the energy from mind to heart.
“We can set intentions,” Jennings said. “We can talk about our obstacles and what’s holding us back from reaching our greatness and empowering ourselves.”
The session ends with a healing sound bath.
The $99 price includes lunch, and vegetarian options are available.
Participants should bring their own yoga mat.
Though Jennings is a spiritual minister, this is not a religious retreat. Being a pastor is just one of Jennings’ roles. He’s also an author, transformational coach, yoga teacher, meditation instructor, holistic health consultant, and podcast host. And yet, he’s still able to deal with the stresses of everyday life.
“I’m dealing with a lot of different issues right now,” he says, “but I am healed. When we take responsibility for our own healing, it has a lasting effect. It inspires other people to experience their own healing, too. I believe that our work at the retreat is reaching out into the world.”
Soul Harmony Retreat It will be held on Saturday, July 20th from 10am to 3pm at Island City Cultural Center (600 Ne 21st Court, Wilton Manors). https://www.skipjennings.com/.
