Each major city, including neutral cities like Dalaran and Shattrath, has a culinary trainer who can teach them the “Glorious Culinary Master.” Once players have visited a trainer and gained the “Glorious Culinary Master” skill, they can begin creating new Cataclysm recipes.
Each major city for both factions has five different daily quests that reward achievements for completing them all. These can be learned from trainers or purchased from vendors with a special currency. Chef AwardOther rare magic recipes can be obtained through achievements or purchased by building up reputation with certain factions.
For those just starting out, the question remains as to what are the easiest cooking ingredients to find in a new zone. Hyjal and Vashj Jr. are usually the first locations players visit, so make sure your character’s fishing gear is in order before you begin. All of the recipes below require 3 Chef Awards and can be found sold by the sous chef next to the cooking trainer or by the cooking supplies seller.
Recipes have no level requirement, although item level can be above 80. As long as a character doesn’t mind taking some risks when gathering ingredients, they can increase their Cooking skill from 425 to 525 without going over level 80. It is possible to explore new areas and go fishing or hunting, even if quests and flight paths have not yet been unlocked.
