The recall for World Green Nutrition’s Tejocort products has been expanded once again to include more lot numbers due to the possibility of containing yellow oleander. The first recall was also an expanded version and was published on April 3, 2024. So far, no illnesses related to consumption of these items have been reported to the company. The recall company is World Green Nutrition Inc.

Yellow oleander is a plant native to Mexico. Ingestion of this plant can cause serious neurological, gastrointestinal, and cardiovascular health problems, and may lead to death. Symptoms of yellow oleander poisoning include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, dizziness, abdominal pain, and irregular heartbeat. Yellow oleander seeds resemble other seeds.
A long list of recalled products can be found on the FDA’s website, along with lot numbers, number of pills in each bottle, expiration date, and number of recalled bottles. The product is packaged in a white container with a blue or green lid.
The recalled products include 90 capsules of Elv Control Herbal Supplement and ELV ALIPOTEC branded Mexican Tejocote Root Supplement Pieces (Raiz de Tejocote Mexicano Supplemento en Trozos). These products come in 0.3 ounce (7 gram) bottles.
These products were intended to be sold through authorized retailers rather than online or in physical stores. However, the company said the products may have been bought and sold through stores and e-commerce platforms.
If you have purchased World Green Nutrition Tejocote products, do not consume them. You can double bag it and then throw it in a secure trash can or return it to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
