“We recognized the need for an infrared heated mat Pilates concept in the Valley and knew Workshop was the perfect studio to bring the burn,” said Ariel, co-owner of Workshop Pilates. Schwartz said in a release. “Thermal fitness has so many benefits for the body and mind, including boosting immunity, detoxification, pain relief, and lowering blood pressure. The new studio is a proud tenant in the historic building that previously housed the Madison Improvement Club, which closed in August 2023. The workshop continues the fitness tradition at the newly named Arcadia Improvement Club. The 5,264-square-foot space will also feature esthetician practice space and a fresh juice bar.
Built in 1917, this historic site was once a primary meeting place for pioneer women to discuss politics, agriculture, education, music, and art. In 2012, after an initial renovation, Madison Improvement Club opened its doors to a community for fitness enthusiasts, spin enthusiasts, and yogis. This building is an Arcadia facility that is cherished by the community, and the reopening of the renovated space marks an important milestone.
“We know that fitness is at the core of this historic space, and we are excited to bring The Workshop’s Pilates principles to Arcadia,” Jackie Parks, co-owner of The Workshop Pilates, said in a release. I can’t wait.” “We believe in the power of Pilates to transform lives. We look forward to strengthening our organizational and community bonds in this close-knit region.”
In addition to infrared heated mat Pilates, Workshop Pilates Arcadia will feature different types of Pilates for all levels, including:
