Workshop Pilates will open its third Valley location in the new Arcadia Improvement Club, located at 3802 E. Indian School Road.
According to a press release, Workshop’s Arcadia location will host the Valley’s first “infrared heated mat” Pilates class, improving flexibility and cardiovascular toning with a 95-degree, infrared-heated, detoxifying workout.
“We saw a need for the infrared heated mat Pilates concept in the Valley area and knew Workshop was the perfect studio to bring that burn,” said Ariel Schwartz, co-owner of Workshop Pilates. “Heated fitness offers many benefits to the body and mind, including improved immunity, detoxification, pain relief and lower blood pressure, and we’re confident the Arcadia community will love it as much as we do.”
The new studio is the proud tenant of the historic building formerly occupied by the Madison Improvement Club, which closed in August 2023. The workshop will continue the fitness tradition at the newly named Arcadia Improvement Club, according to the release. The 5,264-square-foot space will also have space for an esthetician’s office and a fresh juice bar.
Built in 1917, this historic location was once an important meeting place for pioneer women to discuss politics, agriculture, education, music, and the arts. In 2012, after its first renovation, the Madison Improvement Club opened its doors to a community of fitness, spin, and yoga enthusiasts.
“We know that fitness is at the heart of this historic facility, and we can’t wait to bring The Workshop’s Pilates principles to Arcadia,” said co-owner Jackie Parks. “We believe in the power of Pilates to change lives, and we look forward to strengthening the bonds between body and community in this close-knit neighborhood.”
