Workshop Pilates opens a new Arcadia location with the Valley’s first infrared heated mat Pilates classes.
The Workshop Pilates, which also has locations in McCormick Ranch and North Scottsdale, is a premier fitness studio offering Pilates sessions through group classes, private and semi-private programs, and teacher training.
Workshop Pilates Arcadia’s new infrared heating class features a detoxifying 95-degree workout that gradually warms your body as the class progresses, improving flexibility and cardiovascular conditioning.
“We recognized the need for an infrared heated mat Pilates concept in the Valley and knew Workshop was the perfect studio to bring the burn,” said Ariel, co-owner of Workshop Pilates. Schwartz says. “Thermal fitness has so many benefits for the body and mind, including boosting immunity, detoxification, pain relief, and lowering blood pressure. We’re confident the Arcadia community will love it as much as we do. Masu.”
In addition to infrared heated mat Pilates, Workshop Arcadia will feature different types of Pilates for all levels, including:
- Mobility: Manipulate all moving surfaces using various equipment and props. The class concludes with the workshop’s signature stretch series.
- Circuit: A full-body workout that goes from station to station using a variety of Pilates equipment. BOSU balls, resistance bands, and weights enhance your training.
- Level up: Enhance your Pilates practice by incorporating jump boarding, high-intensity interval training (HIIT), and cardio.
- Melt: Gently wake up and stretch your muscles as the workshop’s expert instructors guide you through the flow of yoga and deep stretches on the Reformer.

The Workshop’s new Arcadia Studio, which opens on Monday, May 13, will take over the historic building tenant previously occupied by the Madison Improvement Club, which closed in August 2023. The space will also include an esthetician practice area and a juice bar.
Built in 1917, the building was originally used as a meeting place for pioneer women to discuss important issues ranging from education and the arts to politics and agriculture. In 2012, Madison Improvement Club took over the space and created a community of fitness enthusiasts, spin enthusiasts, and yogis. The building holds a special place in the Arcadia community, and The Workshop is marking a milestone in opening the space to the public.
“We know fitness is at the core of this historic space, and we can’t wait to bring Workshop Pilates principles to Arcadia,” said Jackie Parks, co-owner of Workshop Pilates. Masu. “We believe in the power of Pilates to transform lives. We look forward to strengthening our organizational and community bonds in this close-knit region.”
The workshop welcomes the public to celebrate its grand opening at the newly named Arcadia Improvement Club, located at 3802 E. Indian School Road, on Saturday, May 18th from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. There, visitors can tour the facility, enjoy local vendors and giveaways, and take advantage of Workshop Arcadia’s First Day Founders Rate promotion, which offers monthly discounts on bundled classes.
