Raheem Mostert and his wife, Devon Mostert, have a love story straight out of a romantic movie: one from New Smyrna Beach, Florida, meets the other from the small town of Chardon. This love story blossomed on the campus of the prestigious Purdue University, where Raheem attended from 2011 to 2014. Sure enough, the Miami Dolphins running back popped the big question the following year – “Will you marry me?” – and the two got engaged in 2015.
However, it wasn’t until March 2017 that the famous Purdue couple tied the knot. To explore this beautiful journey, it’s important to note that Raheem and Devon have been together for 10 years, supporting and cherishing each other. RB has come full circle this season by re-attending Miami Dolphins camp, but it’s this strong-willed woman who has always been by his side.
Devon Beckwith (now Mostert) is a mother of three, a photographer, a Pilates instructor, and co-founder of the Raheem Mostert Waves of Success Foundation. Through the foundation, the couple provides young people with the direction and guidance they’re missing in life. She boasts 10,000 followers on Instagram, which is filled with photos of her running back husband and their children, Gunnar Gray, Neeko Rafe, and Myles Raheem.

Surprisingly, Devon, a native of Chardon, Ohio, attended Purdue University to study photography and played football in high school. She frequently shows off her photography skills thanks to an Instagram timeline that depicts various moments with the Mostert family, including their kids and pets. Did you know that their oldest son, Gunner, was named after Mostert’s former special teams position?
The pro RB often takes to social media to celebrate her little family. On Mother’s Day this year, RB posted:Thank you so much for being the best mom to my boys. When I say you were born to be a boy mom, I mean it. I know it’s extreme sports every day in our house, but you handle it like a champ!! 💪🏼 We love you and appreciate you! With love, Heem, G-Man, Niec, Milesie, and Willie Nelson.
By the looks of it, Devon, where he has three children, gives Raheem Mostert plenty to enjoy. But he might not even be playing football if his wife hadn’t stepped in and saved his career – twice.
How did Devon save Raheem Mostert and his career?
Mostert’s half-brother was shot in New Smyrna Beach, Florida, where RB grew up. It was breaking news, and Devon was the first to find out. Mostert was on his way back from the National Track and Field Championships at the time, so to keep him from losing control over the news, Devon contacted Raheem’s coach at Purdue and asked him to keep him there for a while.

“I was thinking about buying a plane ticket.” Mostert says. “And then I go in there and ruin everything I’ve worked so hard to build, just to find him.” Luckily, his brother turned out to be okay in the end and he was even able to speak to him later that day. “Don’t worry. It’s okay.” His half-brother told Mostert, but this wasn’t the first time Devon had saved Mostert’s career.
Mostert’s career didn’t start out with much fanfare. He bounced around from team to team and began to question whether he’d ever be able to play football at a high level. Devon and her parents supported him, telling him to follow his dreams and if playing football was his dream, then so be it.

“I remember sitting there and asking, ‘Hey, can you guys see what I’m doing?’ “It’s a big deal,” Mostert told Sports Illustrated.“So far in my career, I’ve been on five different teams in one rookie year. For me, that was unheard of.” It didn’t take long for Devon and her parents to convince Raheem Mostert to stay on the right path.
“He was like, ‘OK, let’s move on. Let’s see what colors I’m going to wear this week.’ “This happened in 2015, the same year they got married,” Devon said of Raheem Mostert. Mostert was studying business development at Purdue University and seriously considered leaving the league for a 9-to-5 job. Luckily, that didn’t happen, and we still get to see him on the field playing at the highest level.
