Relaxation, connecting with coworkers and giving back to the community will be the focus of Brock’s 22nd annual Employee Wellness Day.
The opening ceremony will be held on Tuesday, June 25th at 8:40 a.m. in the Rankin Family Pavilion (RFP) atrium.
Participants can check in at the RFP Welcome Desk starting at 8 a.m., grab a coffee, and pick up a raffle ticket for lunch and a bike.
This year’s event will be paperless, so participants will need to download the PheedLoop Go! app to access the schedule and directions to activities throughout the day.
The day-long event will include a local vendor market in the Goodman Atrium from 10am to 2pm and a barbecue lunch in the Deshoo Dining Hall starting at 11:30am.
Tickets for this year’s raffle, which will raise funds for student awards, can be purchased in RFP 214/215 on Friday, June 21 and Monday, June 24 from 8:30am to 4:30pm, and Tuesday, June 25 from 8:30am to 2:30pm. Tickets are priced at $15 for 25 or $25 for 50 and can be purchased with cash only.
As part of its community service efforts, Brock University has partnered with Community Care Niagara. Food donation barrels will be available outside RFP 214/215 from June 21-25. Campus participants and visitors are invited to donate items from Community Care’s list of most needed items.
Over 600 employees have already signed up to take part in Wellness Day activities. All employees, even those who have not signed up for Wellness Day, will attend the opening and closing ceremonies and have access to drop-in sessions and rooms throughout the day.
The 2024 Health, Safety and Wellness Champion and Bike Raffle winner will be announced via RFP at the Wellness Day Closing Ceremony at 3:45pm.
Wellness Day volunteers are still needed to help with various sporting events and to fill roles such as helping speakers and guests get to classes.
