A free outdoor fitness series along Baltimore’s waterfront returns next week.
The Waterfront Wellness Series, presented by the Baltimore-Medifast Waterfront Partnership, will resume on May 14 and run through the end of October.
The Baltimore-based fitness expert will lead workout classes six days a week at Harbor Pointe Plaza, West Shore Park, and Fells Point’s Broadway Pier.
This year, the series will bring back popular classes for the 2023 season, including “Strong on the Lawn” with instructor Jessica Keili and Pilates with instructor Erin Dreisbach. Several new programs will also be added, including Sunrise Yoga led by instructor Luan Kara and a Run Meetup with members of local group Believe in the Run.
“We’re excited to announce new classes that will inspire and motivate our community this season,” Waterfront Partnership President Laurie Schwartz said in a statement. “This year, our mission remains the same: to bring the joy of fitness and community camaraderie to the people of Waterfront Baltimore, free of charge.”
Participants earn rewards every time they attend a class. Among the top prizes is an Apple Watch.
All skill levels are welcome. Participants should bring water, sneakers, and mats if needed.
Advance registration is required as each class is limited to 50 people. Participants can register online 8 days in advance of the class.
