Condé Nast’s iconic fashion and lifestyle publications trend has compiled a list of the world’s 100 leading spas, known as the Global Spa Guide.
The guide showcases a wide range of spas, from urban sanctuaries and medical wellness clinics to secluded wellness resorts and mountain retreat centers, highlighting the diversity and richness of spa experiences available to consumers around the world.
Each facility comes with a detailed review and recommendation, highlighting its unique features, available amenities, sustainability credentials, standout treatments and more, showing why each spa deserves to be included on this list.
The guide is divided into five categories:
• North America – the largest category section, featuring spas such as The Golden Door in San Marcos, California, and Oasis Spa at Four Seasons Resort in Los Cabos, Mexico.
• Europe – Highlights include Eynsham Baths at Estelle Manor in the Cotswolds, England, and the SHA Wellness Clinic in Alicante, Spain.
• Asia – Such as Joali Being in the Maldives and Six Senses Vana in Uttarakhand, India.
• South America – This is the smallest category, containing only Asaya, Rosewood Sao Paulo, Brazil.
• Africa and the Middle East – These include venues such as Spa Royal Mansour Casablanca in Morocco and the Natural Wellness Centre at Kisawa Sanctuary on Benguerra Island in Mozambique.
Global Spa Guide trend Editors Chloe Sciamma, Jessica Diner and Florence O’Connor said they plan to update the list annually.
“There are many different approaches in the world of wellness, but we’ve distinguished between cryo and cold baths, infrared therapy and infusions,” the authors say. “The creation of this guide has led us into some very interesting territory and raised some questions about what really makes us feel our best, beyond just polishing our skin or toning our muscles. There is no wrong way to relax.”
