Hair loss problem is a nightmare for everyone. Although its root cause may depend on underlying health conditions or nutrient deficiencies, Ayurvedic remedies are often the go-to for the majority of Indians. A similar thing happened to Indian-American women. She stopped her hair loss with an experiment and now she has beautiful long hair. She revealed her secret on Instagram and gained a lot of attention.
Seerat Saini lives in the United States. She often shares her love for Punjabi traditions, hair growth, fashion, and beauty on social media such as her TikTok and her Instagram. In 2019, Seerat lost about half of her hair. So she made it her mission to restore her hair and succeeded by using Ayurvedic Hair Massage, an ancient technique with roots in India’s Ayurvedic medicine. She shared a video of her “No Wash Day” hair removal guide.
One of the first points she mentions is to do an Ayurvedic hair massage every day. She showed off a three-finger massage exercise that stimulates her hair growth. She showed her three specific points on her scalp that she massaged. The first place winner performed the trick eight fingers above her eyebrow line. This is perfect for receding hairlines or bald spots near the forehead. The second massage point is the skull space 12 finger widths above the eyebrows, the highest point on the body. The third point is 4 finger widths above the nape of the neck.
The video received over 200,000 views on Instagram. Part of her caption reads, “I quietly restarted my hair growth journey, and yes, I documented every step of the way. And now what worked for me. I would like to share again what went wrong. Currently, my spot has grown about 12 inches and the hair loss is very less. I just want to talk about my journey, but if you are suffering from baldness or hair loss, please consult your doctor.”
Separately, she urged her followers not to apply heat to their hair every day. She encouraged everyone to try heat-free ways to style their hair instead. She warns against wearing tight, slick hairstyles and instead asks everyone to choose a low pony to reduce stress on the hair. Additionally, she adds, it’s best to wear your hair in loose braids while sleeping to avoid excessive friction with pillows. Seerat also suggested using silk pillowcases and bonnets to care for your hair.
