Union Minister of Ayush Shri Sarbananda Sonowal today visited the National Institute of Naturopathic Medicine (NIN) in Pune. Shri Sonowal gave an overview of the various ongoing activities of the Institute. Prof. K. Satya Lakshmi, his NIN director in Pune, gave a detailed presentation on the ongoing activities of the organization. The Minister also interacted with the staff and students of the institute.
Speaking on this occasion, Shri Sarbananda Sonowal said, “The Ayush system is widely accepted, has offered much to humanity, and has the potential to offer much more.” The Prime Minister has taken great strides in the Ayush sector through his tireless efforts, including setting up an independent ministry and instilling a sense of respect for India in people all over the world through yoga.”
He added that the people of India are united under ‘Ek Bharat Shreshta Bharat’ and India’s dream of self-reliance will definitely come true soon. The Ministry of Ayush and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare are currently working together and doing their best.
The National Institute of Naturopathy, also known as ‘Bapu Bhawan’, is located on Tadiwala Road, Pune. Mahatma Gandhi made this institute his residence whenever he came to Pune. He stayed here for about 156 days at various intervals and also conducted various experiments on natural remedies.
