New Delhi: Are you afraid of harmful chemicals and toxins in the creams and shampoos you use every day? Then trying Ayurvedic techniques might be a good option. Ayurveda has been practiced in India for decades. When it comes to disease management, we maintain a holistic approach to healthcare and strategy. Science shows that prevention is much more important than curing a disease once it has developed. Skin and hair health are also addressed through Ayurvedic treatments.

Dr. Shailendra Chaubey, Head of Ayurveda at Traya, shared: News 9“With the proliferation of skin allergies and inflammatory conditions, the age-old science of Ayurveda offers deep insights into achieving optimal skin and hair health. Through a targeted dietary approach based on Vedic principles, we have helped many people suffering from acne and various other skin conditions.”

Ayurveda recognizes that food plays an important role in our overall well-being, especially when it comes to skin health. Major advances in managing skin conditions include strategically restricting certain foods. “Clinical cases have been shown to significantly improve, especially by eliminating legumes such as chana and rajma, and temporarily discontinuing fermented grains, dairy products, fish mushrooms, brinjal, and peanuts,” Dr. Chaubey said. These restrictions are in line with Ayurvedic principles, as these foods are considered to contribute to ‘abhishandi’, or tridosha imbalance. ”

Ayurvedic tips for skin and hair health

According to Dr. Chaubey, “Choosing clean, nutrient-dense foods will not only restore the health of your skin, but also your hair. Clean eating supports natural detoxification, leading to healthier scalp and hair.” It also maintains intestinal balance, improves overall health, and increases the body’s absorption of nutrients essential for hair health. In Ayurveda, it is used to promote skin healing and improve symptoms. , recommends a diet rich in fruits with a moderate glycemic load, such as apples, pears, pomegranates, bananas, and guava, as well as moisturizing foods such as cantaloupe.

Prioritizing green leafy vegetables, which make up 70% of each meal, helps maintain dosha balance. Small portions of soaked nuts, seeds, and dried fruits can provide your skin with the nutrients it needs.
Importantly, eliminating most dairy products except for ethically sourced cow’s ghee and milk is recommended for those who want to restore skin harmony. Ayurveda emphasizes the importance of choosing authentic sources to harness the true benefits of dairy products to promote overall well-being.

In today’s era, Ayurvedic holistic approach rooted in tridosha balance helps provide a transformative roadmap to achieving glowing skin and healthy hair. By embracing these dietary recommendations, individuals can embark on a journey towards improved well-being and restored skin vitality.
