Tour of Wellness returns to Hayneville

“A Tour of Wellness,” a health fair in Hayneville in June, will feature local organizations and vendors, free refreshments, door prizes, health and wellness offerings, and fun activities for the whole family.
The Wellness Coalition is hosting the River Region’s third multi-city regional health fair, “A Tour of Wellness,” which will return to Hayneville on June 29 at Hayneville Town Square. The event is free and family-friendly and will feature local organizations, vendors, and activities focused on health and wellness.
“We are excited to return to Montgomery for the Wellness Tour, especially after the success of this event last year,” said Nasha Delamus, Community Coordinator for the Wellness Coalition. “These events are a fun and easy way for residents to learn about and access free and low-cost health care resources.”
Participants will receive access to free programs such as rapid COVID-19 and influenza testing, breastfeeding and maternal support, diabetes prevention and management, sexually transmitted disease resources and testing, health insurance enrollment assistance, and wellness case management services. Connect with local agencies and vendors for services. , free wellness programs, healthy nutrition support, adult vaccination resources, stress management, women’s health support, substance abuse support, safe physical activity that fits your lifestyle, sickle cell resources, veterans services. and support, Medicaid and Medicare resources, life insurance investments and financial wellness planning.
Attendees will also enjoy free lunch (while supplies last), Buffalo Rock snacks, bouncy houses and coloring books for kids, door prizes, and more.
The June 29 Hayneville event will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

“As The Wellness Coalition expands its reach to provide more services to more people, we hope to encourage even more River Region residents to take charge of their health,” Delamus he said. “Our goal is for families to have fun while finding free and low-cost support to improve their well-being throughout their lives.”
