Participants in meditation retreat with Khenpo Samdrup Rinpoche, Tibet House Brazil
BRASILIA: The two-day Vipassana meditation retreat at Tibet House Brazil, led by Khenpo Samdrup Rinpoche, who guided participants in deep mindfulness practices, ended on April 28, 2024.
A total of 65 participants attended, followed by an additional 15 from other sanghas, with the aim of further deepening their understanding of meditation and enriching the retreat with diverse perspectives and experiences.
The two-day Vipassana meditation retreat was actively guided by Khenpo Samdrup Rinpoche’s valuable teachings on the nature of mind, the impermanence of existence, and the cultivation of compassion and wisdom.
of A variety of impactful sessions include meditation sessions, discussions, and personal reflections to explore the depths of consciousness with greater clarity and insight. During breaks in each session, a musical band led by Ana Clara Senemo, Renato Díaz, and Benny Oyama performed melodious mantras. Participants enjoyed various mantras set to Western music and deepened their experience.
The final session thus effectively ended with a renewed sense of purpose and clarity, and all participants made significant changes and were able to incorporate the teachings of Vipassana into their daily lives.
During the question and answer session, participants expressed their gratitude to Mr. Kempo for his guidance and wisdom.
Khenpo Samdrup Rinpoche was born in Tibet and received the vow of protection from Kyabje Garchen Rinpoche when he was just seven years old. At the age of 12 he became a monk. He had the opportunity to receive Dzogchen teachings from the great masters Khenpo Munser and Khenpo Jigme Phuntsok. Khenpo Samdrup Rinponche graduated from the Dzogsar Shedra Institute in Bir and taught for five years at the Dikun Kagyu University in Dehradun. Currently, he serves as the spiritual director of his Drolma Center, located in Dayton, Ohio, USA 45420.
