New Brunswick, New Jersey (Hint): After an eight-year wait, world-renowned spiritual master, best-selling author and global humanitarian Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj returned to New Jersey to spread joy, spiritual wisdom and love at the Hyatt Regency New Brunswick, where a special three-day meditation event drew thousands of participants from the tri-state area and around the world.
In an enlightening session, Sant Rajinder Singh Ji, president of Science of Spirituality, a non-profit, non-sectarian spiritual organisation, spoke about how we can achieve lasting peace and joy as individuals, as communities and as the world.His public talk on Friday, July 5, was titled “Peace and Joy Awaits Within You”.
To kick off the program, three civic leaders from the state paid tribute to Sant Rajinder Singh Ji and presented him with a proclamation in his honor. Among those in attendance were East Brunswick Town Mayor and practicing physician Dr. Brad Cohen, Honorary Commissioner and former New Jersey State Assemblyman Upendra Chivukula on behalf of East Brunswick Councilman Staley Stanley, and City of Perth Amboy Human Resources Director Diane Roman on behalf of Perth Amboy Mayor Hermine Kaba.
Mayor Brad Cohen presented a proclamation praising Sant Rajinder Singh’s tireless efforts and commending the spiritual leader’s contributions in helping individuals grow spiritually and find a sense of purpose. Upendra Chivkulla presented Maharaj with a New Jersey joint resolution, which paid tribute to his “selfless efforts to promote the nobility of human values and aspirations” and for establishing “a model worthy of emulation” for all who seek to serve humanity. Representing the city of Perth Amboy, home of the New Jersey SOS Center, Diane Roman expressed her gratitude to Science of Spirituality for being a trusted and reliable member of the city’s community and for the partnership that provides valuable opportunities for serving and growing spiritually to the residents of Perth Amboy. She introduced a proclamation from Mayor Hermine Kaba, praising Sant Rajinder Singh’s vision and efforts to help humanity “transcend racial, national, cultural and religious differences through a shared vision of oneness, hope and peace.”
In his talk, Sant Rajinder Singh explained how each of us impacts the world around us. The spiritual leader said it is human nature to seek peace and joy in the outer world because that is all we know. But to experience lasting happiness, we need to be rooted in the eternal source of joy – the divinity within each of us. This change happens when we embark on our inner spiritual journey. He shared a simple yet powerful meditation technique that people from all walks of life, regardless of age, gender or cultural tradition, can practice to experience eternal spiritual love.
The free public talk, delivered in English and Hindi, resonated with attendees, who appreciated the practical tips and simple meditation techniques for self-discovery and self-reflection.
Sant Rajinder Singh Ji, along with his wife Mata Rita Ji, visited the Science of Spirituality Meditation Center in Perth Amboy. The Center was set against the backdrop of a beautiful fireworks display. The return visit to the Center was celebrated with great joy by local SOS members as they celebrated their 10th anniversary. Purchased in 2014, the Perth Amboy Center is located in an urban community with a rich cultural history and maritime heritage. The Center offers an intimate environment for meditation, spiritual fellowship, and service to the community and is open to all who wish to go deeper into their spiritual journey. The SOS Perth Amboy Meditation Center regularly partners with the City of Perth Amboy on important projects that support the needy in the community.
Sant Rajinder Singh’s talk in Hindi (with English and Spanish interpretation) on Saturday, July 6, elaborated on the theme that when our lives are filled with God’s love through meditation, we become ambassadors of this love, radiating it with all our hearts to those around us.
The New Brunswick event marked another milestone in Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj’s mission to spread the message of peace, love and unity through meditation. His life and work can be summed up as a continuous journey of love and selfless service, helping people discover their true purpose in life.
