Mickey Mouse pretzels, cinnamon churros, and beignets are Disneyland’s signature treats, but none have as passionate a following as Dole Whip. The creamy pineapple ice cream is tart and refreshing, and we dream about it between trips to the parks. Now, thanks to a new copycat recipe from Ree Drummond (The Pioneer Woman), you can satisfy your craving in the comfort of your own home.
“Homemade #DoleWhip = every #Disney lover’s dream come true. 🤩 🍍🙌” Pioneer Woman Magazine She wrote on Instagram: “Super easy recipe link in profile!”
Described by one fan as “so delicious and refreshing,” this homemade Dole Whip recipe calls for just five ingredients: mix together frozen pineapple, vanilla ice cream, pineapple juice, and two other ingredients, then “squeeze the pineapple chunks into the blender, if desired.” So easy, right?
Then pour the whole thing into a bowl, cover, and freeze for at least 30 minutes. Now it’s ready to eat — or at least if you want to get a little more creative. Next, Drummond recommends transferring each serving into a piping bag fitted with a large star tip. Pipe the ice cream into a serving bowl and it will look like it came straight out of a soft serve machine. Then, play your favorite Disney movie and imagine you’re in the happiest place on earth.
This is literally so easy to make. “So delicious and so easy! My sons and husband loved this,” one person commented. “Exactly like the one we had at Disneyland.”
Another person wrote: “Very tasty. The instructions said to freeze for 30 minutes but mine was still soft in the middle after 30 minutes but still tasty to eat.”
