Honoring Tansen’s legacy

Paying tribute to his incredible legacy, restaurant Tansen not only celebrates his artistic talent but also infuses his innovative and refined spirit into the dining experience. Just like Tansen’s enchanting melodies, the restaurant has been meticulously crafted to create a harmonious ambience where every meal sounds like a beautiful melody, every taste sounds like a musical note and every moment is a poetic exploration.

Consulting Chef Anuj Wadhawan eloquently states, “Just hearing the name Tansen transports one to the Mughal era under Akbar, a time of perfect blend of culture and culinary arts.”The restaurant draws inspiration from Tansen’s famous raags, Raag Deepak and Raag Megh Malhar, which symbolize the harmonious union of fire and water, which are integral to the cuisine and ambience.

A poetic and tranquil atmosphere

Stepping into Tansen, you’re enveloped in a poetic and serene atmosphere. Gentle water flow creates a soothing rhythm while live Sufi singers accompany diners with heartfelt melodies. The gold-hued décor reflects the stately elegance of the Mughal court. The dining area can accommodate 140 guests, with an intimate section for 26, making it comfortable for intimate gatherings and grand celebrations.

Sun-dried Tomato and Smoked Cheese Kulcha: A fun twist on a traditional favorite.

Hyderabadi Maragu: A rich and spicy mutton soup with hazelnuts and rose essence.

Green Chicken Curry: An intoxicating blend of chilli, coriander and raw mango.

Patal Ka Gosht: Traditionally cooked on a flat granite stone, it gives off a traditional flavour.

Edamame and Green Pea Kebabs: A fusion of Middle Eastern and Indian flavours.
