In Ayurveda, gold is considered a powerful rejuvenating ingredient. Dr Janda says gold has rejuvenating rasayana properties.

However, Dr Janda said gold-infused ghee needs to be pure and suggested some tips to spot it: “The bhasma used should be very fine, fitting between the lines of your finger and almost invisible. The bhasma should not be shiny and ideally loses its shine when prepared. The bhasma should also be irreversible, meaning that it will not revert back to the metal itself. The bhasma should also be light and float on water,” Dr Janda said.
