The tech-forward Pilates franchise has plans for 55 additional locations in Australia, London, Toronto, Orange County and Nashville.
The Pilates brand continues to experience significant growth, and Australian-born Studio Pilates International reached another milestone this week with the opening of its 100th store in Chanhassen, Minnesota.
Studio Pilates International, founded in 2002 by high school sweethearts Jade and Tanya Winter, has expanded to New Zealand, China and the UK, with 24% year-over-year revenue growth from 2022 to 2023, and is entering Canada this year. It’s a schedule. Another 55 studios will open in Australia, London, Toronto, Orange County and Nashville.
Studio Pilates’ 40-minute group workouts take place under the brand’s signature chandeliers and use video technology to help Studio Pilates instructors enhance the class experience with personalized attention.
“Tanya and I embarked on this journey driven by a shared vision and an unwavering belief in the benefits Studio Pilates International provides our community,” said co-founder Jade Winter. “From humble beginnings to our 100th studio opening, this significant milestone is a testament to the power of perseverance and passion.”
The Pilates franchise says its model is highly scalable, with more than 50% of its franchisees owning two or more studios, and no studios have failed.

Studio Pilates recently introduced prenatal and postnatal Pilates classes for female clients.
“Pilates is one of the best ways to exercise during pregnancy,” says Marisa Fuller, franchise owner of US-based Studio Pilates, who first brought the brand to the US. “Highly targeted and modifiable exercises can effectively address the needs of pregnant women.”
In addition to franchise opportunities, Studio Pilates offers 16 different teacher training courses. The ‘Pilates reimagined’ brand celebrates World Pilates Day on May 4th with free workouts, special offers and giveaways for new customers.
Pilates is more popular than ever, with a recent Saturday Night Live skit poking fun at avid Pilates instructors and enthusiasts alike. Franchise brands such as Club Pilates and JetSet, to name just a few, are rapidly expanding nationally and internationally.
