Wallis Annenberg Hall (ANN), The Forum
Explore multimedia exhibits that tell the stories of changemakers.
A global team of journalists and researchers at the University of Southern California has produced more than 100 stories about people dedicated to positive social change as part of the Spiritual Exemplars Project. Although often underreported and invisible, spiritual impulses can move individuals and communities toward justice, equality, and compassion.
At the reception, you can tour the exhibition and hear from three exemplary figures.
- Father Greg Boyle (South Carolina) is the founder of Homeboy Industries, the world’s largest gang intervention, rehabilitation, and reentry program.
- Brother Tran Phap Dung, a graduate of the University of Southern California, is the senior dharma teacher at Plum Village Monastery, founded by Vietnamese peace activist Thich Nhat Hanh.
- Sabrina Sojourner is a Shariaf Tzibur and a pastor. As a queer Jew of color, she brings conversations about diversity, equity, and inclusion into her spiritual space.
The panel discussion will begin at 5:30, followed by a reception. Attendees will be able to tour the exhibit before and after the panel.
Co-sponsors of this event include:
